Coupled resonance via localized surface plasmon polaritons in Iridium-based refractory metamaterials

Plasmonic metamaterials (MMs) have enabled their novel applications across numerous engineering fields ranging from photodetecting to bio-imaging, cancer diagnosis, and photovoltaics. However, as a vast majority of reported plasmonic MMs are based on materials with relatively low melting point such Au or Ag, utilities limited for lower-temperature applications. Thus, realizing resonance refractory will further extend higher-temperature environments. In this work, we numerically report built Ir HfO2, which well-known highly materials. These resonate selectively the excitation localized surface plasmon polaritons magnetic resonances. The wavelength where occurs can be modulated by changing width top metal structure.
